Dishing Out Cilantro Love!
We don’t know where you stand on the Cilantro (Love it or Loath it?) Debate but we reside on the side of LOVE. We love cilantro and its ability to meld easily with almost any cuisine. First place goes to Mexican: salsas, tacos, guacamole, and mojitos—all would be missing a certain crucial element without the fresh, somewhat citrusy tang of cilantro. Indian would be a close second as cilantro is a wonderful accompaniment to curries and the base of most chutneys. Third would go to Asian as a spring roll or Pad Thai just wouldn’t taste the same without its fresh leaves. Tex-Mex and Caribbean bring up the rear but the list could go on and on as there are so many uses for this versatile herb.
We found some of our favorites but if you’re still yearning for more check out the book Cilantro Secrets or head over to 101 Cookbooks for their list of cilantro favorites. Enjoy!
