DIY Geometric Pendant
Remember playing with shrink film as a kid? Well you can easily make this grownup geometric necklace in just a few steps. The finished version is just under 2" wide, so if you'd like a larger pendant, simply print out the PDF at a larger size. - Jenn from Ambrosia Creative

You will need:
inkjet printer
sheet of vellum paper or cardboard
metal ruler
craft knife
self-healing mat
self-healing mat
1/8 hole punch
two jewelry chain rings
jewelry chain
jewelry chain clasp (optional)
white paint (optional)
spray varnish (optional)

Step 1: Download and print the PDF template for the necklace onto shrink film.
Step 2: Preheat oven to 300°.
Step 3: Using a metal ruler as a guide for your craft knife, carefully cut out the outlines for the pendant. It helps to cut out the innermost triangles first.
Step 4: Punch out two holes in the upper triangles.
Step 5: Fold a sheet of vellum in half and place the pendant inside. If you don't have vellum handy, place pendant between two sheets of lightweight cardboard. As an extra precaution, make sure no ink or printed surface comes into contact with the pendant.
Step 6: Place straight into oven and bake for 2-3 minutes.
Step 7: Carefully remove from oven (it will be hot!), and if the pendant has curled a bit, gently flatten with a sheet of cardboard.
Step 8: Smooth any rough edges with a nail file or trim off with mini scissors. The printed outlines may still be visible. Have this side be the backside of the pendant. If you want a more finished look, you can paint it white and spray with a clear varnish.
Step 9: Cut a chain to your desired length. If it is too short to pass over your head, also attach necklace clasps.
Step 8: Insert metal rings into the holes of the pendant, and thread the ends of the chain onto the rings. With small pliers, squeeze rings closed. Enjoy your new necklace!
