DIY Kite Invitations
One of my fondest memories with my group of friends is when we met up as families at the park for kite-flying fun. Since then, I've always wanted to host a kite party. Here is a fun invitation idea that is sure to surprise the recipients on your guest list. - Jenn from Ambrosia Creative

Materials:
origami paper
A6 envelopes
bamboo skewers
patterned tape
double-sided tape
felt sheets
string
Step 1: Fold origami paper in half along the diagonal.
Step 2: Trim off one of the edges so that one side of the triangle is longer than the other. When you open up the paper, you should have a kite shape.
Step 3: Snap off a piece of the bamboo skewer that is just the length of the kite. Trim off any splinters with scissors. Snap off another piece of the skewer that is just about the width of the kite. Trim off any splinters.
Step 4: Cut a long strip of felt that is about 1/2" wide. Make small angled cuts to form the "bows" for the tail. Then cut out the surrounding felt.
Step 5: With a small piece of double-sided tape, attach tail to bottom of kite.
Step 6: Tape long skewer down the middle of the kite.
Step 7: Tape short skewer along the width.
Step 8: Tie a long piece of string (for flying!) where the two skewers meet.
Step 9: Tape your invitation information to the end of the kite tail. You can download this editable PDF file(the type has been changed to a neutral gray).
Step 10: Your invitation is ready to package up! Coil up the kite string and tuck behind the skewers (so that it stays put). Slide the end with the invitation information into the envelope first, then gently slide in the kite.
