Ice Ice Baby

We love fall entertaining and Handmade Charlotte showed up some very creative ways to chill items using plants from the backyard!  Playing around with nature-inspired tablescapes and making inexpensive centerpieces with flowers, fruit, and leaves is so much fun.

We got inspired to make some seasonal ice sculptures and came up with these "straight from the backyard" DIY projects that would be so fun as a centerpiece at your next gathering.

It's really simple.  All you need is a freezable container - fill with water and place your decorations into the water arranging them carefully and artfully. To make clear ice, boil the water first, then add your decorations and freeze it!

To create the wine chiller mold, simply place a bowl, jar or some kind of second container inside the first one to create space.

We also created a flat round ice sculpture that doubles as a platter to keep fruits, veggies, cheeses or dips fresh and delicious.

Check out our creations and this roundup of nice DIY ice!
