Amy

Amy, our Modern Mom, brings a clean, modern sensibility to everything she does -- which is ironic, since she has a Masters Degree in Anthropology and Archeology. She's a mom to three kids under eight, all of whom were born at the same time of year, and none of whom wanted to come out -- each pregnancy lasted almost 10 months. In addition to raising her kids and collecting way too many modern chairs, she runs Habla Blah Blah, music and live concerts designed to introduce wee ones to the sounds of Spanish. Amy has lived in Spain, taught introductory Spanish to freshman and sophomore students, and worked in the Anthropology department of the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, where she focused on public education.

Academic credentials notwithstanding, Amy's addicted to Access Hollywood, and is obsessed with cutting her daughter's hair into just the right bob. She spends her summers in Mexico, where it is never tough to get a mango (Amy's favorite food). Even if you don't speak Spanish, you can always get Amy's attention with a gin gimlet, served up.
