One of the best on the web,  Cannelle et Vanille created by a mother, gourmande and Basque ex-pat, is a life told in recipes, travels, photographs and anecdotes. This gorgeous and highly acclaimed blog will immediately draw you into a la dolce vita world of cakes, creams, cookies, candy and other delights. A great resource for gluten-free recipes.

From an accountant by day and a foodie by night comes London Bakes.  This site is full of scrumptious desserts and treats to satisfy your sweet tooth.  With great photos of her baking adventures and entertaining writing, London Bakes is a delight.  Because she writes from London, some of the measurements are foreign to us Yanks, so be sure to check out the conversions section on the site.

This blog has won all kind of praise and "best" awards. David is an alumni of the famed Chez Panisse restaurant in Berkeley, California, owned by Alice Waters. While there, he worked in the pastry department. He has since been profiled in a bunch of publications from Chcolatier and Food+Wine to People and Newsweek. Recipes are divided into Tarts, Jams, Cookies, Cakes, Custards, Ice Creams and more.

From the kitchen at Spago to the span of the internet, comes Not Without Salt.  The mom-cook behind this site got her start plating desserts at the world-famous Spago in Beverly Hills.  When motherhood came knocking she made that her fulltime gig and created this blog to share her "passion for all things salted."  Some recipes are savory, but many are sweet, and oh how sweet they are.  Paired with great photography, the recipes at Not Without Salt are a treat.

It's a department store online. Famous for their customer service, Nordstrom offers a wide range of clothing, shoes, and accessories. While known for designer women's shoes and a wide selection of bras in all sizes, Nordstrom also offers a wide range of popular brands, styles and looks from sleepwear to casual to the workplace. Not only is it easy to browse their site with several filter options, but also, Nordstrom makes it easy to order and return items either online or at your local store.

Babesta is home for a rocker baby in the making. Here you will find everything from Van Halen onesies to cool leggings with hip prints.  The prices won’t break the bank and the pieces are all unique picks from independent designers. Alongside the trendy threads they have a large selection of toys, games and gear also worth checking out.

Sweet William is a children’s clothing store committed to smaller, socially responsible clothing labels and independent designers. Most everything they carry is made with organic fibers and the designs are always classic, unique and sophisticated (never frilly, light pink or blue!). This probably has to do with the fact that store is beautifully curated by Bronagh Staley, the former fashion editor of Cookie Magazine. 

Makié Clothier [pronounced mah-key-eh] is the brain child of Makié Yahagi and Yuji Ogata—New York based designers with Japanese roots.  They house their collection in their beautiful boutique in Soho but luckily you can find their simple yet elegant designs in their online shop.  Makié might be some of the hippest clothing around but the attention to detail pared with quality design & pure fabrics make their pieces an integral part of your baby’s first wardrobe.  Also be sure to check out their women’s clothing & accessories, unique textiles and home goods.

The site also features a cool "browse" function that allows you to view art and select which pieces appeal to you - then based on what you pick, the site fine-tunes the selections to suit your taste.  Brilliant!
